Creative Operations

Creative bottlenecks usually aren't a creative problem — they're an operations problem. Assets pile up waiting on QA, HTML5 files fail spec on one SSP but not another, and DCO setups eat hours that should've taken minutes. AdOps Media's Creative Operations team absorbs that entire workload: high-volume asset production, deep creative QA, HTML5 validation, and Dynamic Creative Optimization setup, built specifically for how ad-tech platforms, vendors, and agencies actually work — not a generic design-agency process retrofitted for ad specs.

Every asset that passes through us gets checked against ad server and SSP-specific technical requirements before it ever reaches your QA queue or a client's inbox — file weight, clickTags, third-party pixel calls, fallback images, the details that cause a creative to get rejected or render broken in production. That's the failure mode we're built to prevent: creative that looks perfect in a browser preview but breaks the moment it hits a real ad server. Our white-label workflow plugs into your existing production and approval process, so it doesn't feel like adding a new vendor — it feels like adding capacity.

What a creative operations pass checks

Each file is checked against the destination: dimensions and file weight against the SSP or publisher limit, clickTag or exit implementation, HTTPS on every request, third-party pixel and tag calls, the fallback image, animation length and looping, audio behavior, and video encoding for VAST delivery. Files that pass go into a QA report. Files that fail come back with the exact reason.

The checks run in the same environment the ad will run in, not only in a browser preview. A creative that looks right in a preview can still fail in an ad server because of a missing clickTag, a blocked request or a weight limit.

How a multi-market version set is run

Production starts from one approved master per format. Local copy, logos, legal lines and landing URLs are controlled variables, so each market version differs only where it should. Versions are named by market, language, format and version number, and a version register records which file went to which placement.

That register is what makes comparison by market possible later, and it makes a faulty ad quick to find and pause. One consumer brand's multi-market program shows the workflow in practice.

What you provide and what you receive

You provide brand guidelines, master files or source files, destination spec sheets, and a copy deck by market with the approver for each. You receive fixed files, a pass or fail QA report for each batch, the version register and a list of recurring issues so they can be fixed at source.

Next step: send one spec sheet and one creative that was recently rejected or broken in production. We will return the QA findings and a proposed checklist for your destinations.

How an engagement runs

  1. Collect specs and masters

We gather destination specs, master files, brand rules and the copy deck, and agree who approves what.

  2. Build or adapt versions

Versions are produced from the master with local copy and legal lines as controlled variables.

  3. QA every file

Each file is checked for size, weight, tags, clickTags, fallbacks and rendering, and logged as pass or fail.

  4. Package and hand off

Approved files are named by market, language and format, recorded in the version register and sent ready to traffic.

Frequently asked questions

What ad formats and specs do you QA against?

We validate against the technical requirements of the SSPs and ad servers your creative will actually run on — HTML5 file weight and load behavior, clickTags, third-party pixel and tag implementation, fallback images, and platform-specific rendering rules. Tell us your delivery destinations and we build the QA checklist around them.

Can you handle high-volume creative production, not just QA?

Yes — production and QA are both part of the service. We can take on asset builds at volume (resizes, localizations, DCO template population) in addition to reviewing creative your team or another vendor produced.

How does Dynamic Creative Optimization setup work with your team?

We build out the DCO template logic, feed integrations, and creative variant structure so the platform serves the right combination of assets to the right audience. We test the setup before launch so variants render correctly rather than discovering a broken combination mid-flight.

What happens when a creative fails QA — do you fix it or send it back?

That depends on your preference and the issue. Minor technical fixes (file weight, tag formatting) we typically resolve directly. Larger creative or messaging issues get flagged back to you or your creative team with specifics on what failed and why, so the fix happens once instead of in a QA loop.

Is this white-label if we're an agency or ad-tech vendor?

Yes, this service is built specifically for agencies, ad-tech platforms, and vendors that need creative ops capacity without exposing that it's outsourced. All output ships under your name.

Do you support AI-assisted creative production and review?

We incorporate creative technology and AI tooling where it genuinely speeds up production or QA — flagging likely spec violations faster, for example — but every asset still goes through human review before it ships. We don't rely on automated QA alone for anything that will run in production.
