Ad Server Migration Services Without Pausing Revenue

Our ad server migration services give publishers and agencies a packaged project with a fixed plan. We audit your current setup, map inventory, rebuild trafficking, run parallel QA and manage the cutover. A hypercare period follows, so your team and your advertisers see no gap in delivery or revenue.

Built for: Publishers, agencies and ad networks changing platforms

What's included

Migration needs three things done well: a clear plan, an accurate rebuild and strong testing. Each part is handled by a named team, with checks recorded.

Planning and Platform Setup

We audit the current platform, define scope and risks, and set up the new environment. Roles, naming rules, timelines and a rollback plan are agreed before any rebuild work begins.

Platform Implementation & Migration

Inventory Mapping and Rebuild

Every ad unit, placement, key-value and targeting rule is mapped to a clean structure. Orders and line items are rebuilt in batches, with unused legacy setups retired along the way.

Ad Serving & Inventory Management

Parallel QA and Hypercare

Old and new setups run side by side while we check rendering, targeting, pacing and reporting. After cutover, a named support desk handles issues until the new platform is stable.

QA & Technical Support

Why teams choose it

No Gap in Delivery

Cutover is staged and tested in parallel, so live campaigns keep serving while the rebuild happens and advertisers do not see a change.

A Cleaner Setup Than Before

Migration is the chance to remove dead line items and inconsistent naming. You leave with an inventory structure that is documented and easier to run.

Your Team Stays Focused

Our specialists carry the rebuild and testing work, so your in-house team can keep running the business and selling inventory.

Clear Handover and Runbook

You receive documentation, naming standards and a runbook, so day-to-day trafficking can move back in-house or stay with AdOps Media.

Services in this solution

Each part is delivered by the same AdOps Media team, so planning, execution and reporting stay in one place.

Illustrative example: moving a publisher's ad server

This is an example, not a client story. A publisher with several sites moves to a new ad server. The team lists every ad unit, line item, creative and key-value in the old system and maps each to its new equivalent. Items with no clear equivalent are flagged for a decision, not guessed.

Both systems run in parallel on a small share of traffic. The team compares impressions, clicks and revenue between them and investigates any difference before more traffic moves. Cutover happens only when the numbers reconcile and a rollback plan is ready. A hypercare period follows.

What you get at the start

The planning phase produces documents you can review. You receive:

• An inventory of the current setup: ad units, line items, orders, creatives, targeting and reports.

• A mapping sheet showing where each item goes and what is retired.

• A cutover plan with a rollback step and a communication plan for advertisers.

• A parallel QA plan stating what will be compared and what difference is acceptable.

Checklist: before you cut over

Confirm that: every active order is mapped; tracking and third-party tags fire on the new system; reporting is reconciled with the old one; billing and invoicing data is accounted for; the team knows who can roll back; and advertisers have been told about any change to tags or tracking.

If a migration is not urgent, consider pausing it until these are in place. A delayed migration costs less than lost delivery.

How it works

  1. Audit and Plan

We review the current platform, list what must move and agree scope, risks, timeline and rollback steps.

  2. Map and Rebuild

Inventory and targeting are mapped, then orders, line items and tags are rebuilt in controlled batches.

  3. Parallel QA

Old and new setups run side by side so rendering, targeting, pacing and reporting can be compared.

  4. Cutover and Hypercare

We switch over on the agreed schedule and stay close to resolve issues until delivery is stable.

FAQ

Which platforms can you migrate between?

We most often move teams to Google Ad Manager 360 from legacy ad servers, and we also handle changes in SSP, header bidding and tag management setups. Share your current and target platforms on a short call and we will confirm scope and any constraints before quoting.

How is the project priced?

Migrations are usually priced as a fixed project fee with defined phases, or as time and materials. A fixed fee suits a well-scoped move and a time-and-materials model suits one with many unknowns. We recommend the model after scoping, based on inventory size, the number of properties and the complexity of targeting. A hypercare period can be included or added. You get a written scope before work starts.

Will our live campaigns stop during the move?

No. We plan for continuous delivery. Old and new setups run in parallel during QA, and cutover is staged by site or product on a schedule you approve. We also agree a rollback plan up front in case anything needs to be reversed.

Can this be delivered white-label for our clients?

Yes. Agencies and ad tech vendors often use us as a quiet delivery team. We work under your brand, follow your naming and reporting standards, and communicate through your project leads, so your client relationship stays with you. Your clients see your team, not ours.
