Programmatic Monetization
Header bidding, Prebid.js and Google Open Bidding are well documented tools for maximizing programmatic revenue, but the integrations themselves are genuinely messy, and a poorly configured wrapper can cost you fill and speed at the same time. AdOps Media manages those integrations end-to-end and optimizes demand across your SSP and exchange partners, so your team gets the upside of a well-tuned programmatic stack without owning the ongoing maintenance burden.
We structure Private Marketplace deals, Preferred Deals, and Programmatic Guaranteed campaigns to put your inventory in front of advertisers willing to pay above open-auction rates, and we continuously tune auction dynamics and partner performance rather than treating your header bidding setup as a project with an end date. That ongoing tuning is the part that actually protects revenue — demand partner performance shifts, latency creeps up as more partners get added, and a wrapper that was optimized a year ago is quietly leaving eCPM on the table today if nobody's watching it.
Advanced strategies to maximize revenue across SSPs and exchanges.
What gets tuned
The main controls are the bidder list, per-bidder timeouts, price floors by placement and device, price granularity, user syncing, lazy loading of slots and ad refresh rules. Each partner also needs the matching ads.txt line, so the demand is authorized before it is relied on.
We pull response times per bidder and trim the slow tail that adds delay for little revenue. A bidder stays in the wrapper only if its revenue justifies its latency cost.
A test-and-control routine
Changes are made one at a time, with a control group where the setup allows it, such as a percentage split of traffic. We compare revenue per thousand sessions or RPM alongside page speed signals (Largest Contentful Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift) and viewability, so a revenue gain is not bought at the cost of the reader's experience.
For example, if a publisher adds a seventh bidder and RPM rises while Largest Contentful Paint worsens on mobile, the test shows whether the trade is worth keeping or the timeout should tighten. See header bidding and yield management for the method and the CTV publisher yield case study for floors and demand priority in Index Exchange.
Deals and demand packaging
For PMP, Preferred and Programmatic Guaranteed deals we agree terms with the buyer, create the deal in the SSP, set up the matching line item and targeting in Google Ad Manager, and test that bids arrive. When a deal underdelivers, we check the usual causes in order: priority against direct demand, floors, targeting that is too narrow, and slots that do not load in view.
What you provide and what you receive
You provide Google Ad Manager and SSP access for named users, the current bidder list and timeouts, and recent revenue by demand partner. You receive a ranked list of changes, test results with the control comparison, a partner review and a record of every change.
Next step: send your current bidder list, timeouts and revenue by partner. We will reply with the first three tests we would run and what we would measure.
How an engagement runs
Baseline
We record the wrapper setup, bidders, timeouts, floors, revenue by partner and page speed signals.
Partner review
We review win rate, bid quality, latency and ads.txt coverage for each demand partner.
Test and tune
Changes are tested one at a time against a control and kept only when revenue holds without hurting speed.
Deals and ongoing review
We set up and monitor deals, then review partners and settings on a regular schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Which header bidding solutions do you work with?
We manage integrations across Prebid.js, Google Open Bidding (formerly Exchange Bidding) and direct SSP and exchange connections. Tell us your current wrapper setup and demand partner list and we will assess what is configured well and what is not.
Will adding more demand partners slow down our page load?
It can, if it's not managed carefully — that's one of the most common ways a header bidding setup degrades over time. We monitor latency alongside yield, and part of our ongoing work is deciding when a demand partner's contribution no longer justifies its latency cost.
How do you decide which SSPs and exchanges to prioritize?
We evaluate demand partners on actual performance — fill rate, win rate, and bid quality for your specific inventory — rather than assuming more partners automatically means more revenue. Underperforming partners get deprioritized or removed.
Can you set up Private Marketplace and Programmatic Guaranteed deals for us?
Yes, structuring and managing PMP, Preferred, and Programmatic Guaranteed deals is part of the service, aimed at capturing demand willing to pay above open-auction rates for your inventory.
Is this a one-time setup or ongoing management?
Ongoing. Auction dynamics, partner performance, and pricing strategy all shift over time, and a wrapper or SSP configuration that's optimal today won't stay that way without regular tuning. We treat this as continuous management, not a project with a fixed end date.
How is this different from your Ad Serving & Inventory Management service?
Ad Serving & Inventory Management focuses on your GAM setup, line items, and inventory structure. Programmatic Monetization focuses specifically on the header bidding, SSP, and exchange layer that competes for that inventory. Many publishers use both together, since they directly affect each other.
