Retail Media Marketing
Walmart Connect Management
From Search to Store
Walmart Connect management means running sponsored search, display, programmatic and in-store media as one program rather than four separate tasks. Our team builds the structure, handles daily optimization and ties activity back to sales and item performance. We work white-label for agencies and alongside in-house retail media teams at brands.
Built for: Brands and agencies selling through Walmart
What's included
Walmart Connect has several ad products, and each one needs a different kind of attention. These are the three areas where our managed service gives brands and agencies the most practical help.
Sponsored search management
We manage keyword and item-level campaigns on Walmart.com, covering structure, bids, budgets, search terms and item readiness, so spend follows the products that are in stock and ready to convert.
Sponsored Products and Search AdsDisplay and DSP activation
We plan onsite display and Walmart DSP campaigns that reach shoppers on and off Walmart properties, with audience, frequency and creative set to match each stage of the buying journey.
Offsite Programmatic (Retail DSP)In-store and omnichannel plans
We help brands decide when in-store media belongs in the plan, then align timing, creative and measurement with online activity, so store and digital results can be read together without double counting.
In-Store Retail MediaWhy teams choose it
Search and display in step
Campaign names, budgets and goals are planned jointly, so sponsored search captures the demand that display and DSP create instead of competing with it.
Item health in every decision
We watch content quality, availability and pricing signals alongside ad metrics, because advertising an item that cannot convert wastes budget.
Clear reporting for retail teams
Weekly and monthly reports explain what moved, why and what happens next, in language that category managers and agency leads can use directly.
Flexible white-label support
Agencies can hand us whole accounts, a single channel or peak-season overflow, and every deliverable carries the agency name, so clients see one consistent team.
Services in this solution
Each part is delivered by the same AdOps Media team, so planning, execution and reporting stay in one place.
What Walmart Connect management includes
Walmart Connect is the advertising business of Walmart. It offers sponsored search placements on Walmart.com and the app, onsite and offsite display, programmatic buying through the Walmart DSP, and media connected to physical stores. Each product has its own setup, targeting options and reporting views, which is why many brands find it hard to manage well alongside other responsibilities. A clear owner for the whole account removes most of that difficulty.
Our managed service covers planning, account structure, campaign build, bid and budget management, creative trafficking and reporting. We work in your Walmart Connect account or an agency account, and we keep a change log so your team always knows what was adjusted, when it happened, and the reason behind it. Nothing is changed without a stated purpose, and nothing is left unexplained at review time.
Search first, then widen the funnel
For most brands, sponsored search is the base of a Walmart program, because it reaches shoppers who are already looking for a product category. We start there: clean keyword structure, sensible match types, regular search term review and careful attention to item availability. Once search is stable, display and DSP can be added with clear goals instead of guesswork. Seasonal moments, such as back to school and the holidays, are planned weeks ahead with budget and creative agreed in advance.
Display and DSP then widen reach, retarget engaged shoppers and support launches. We keep audiences and creative tied to a specific purpose and test one change at a time. Our retail media marketing service and our offsite programmatic service explain how those layers connect across retailers, and why consistent goals matter more than any single setting. We review each layer against the same questions every month.
Bringing in-store and measurement
Walmart Connect also offers media that reaches shoppers in physical stores. Whether it fits depends on your category, your goals and what can be measured. We help you weigh that choice, set up the creative and timing, and agree up front how results will be judged so that no one is arguing about it afterward. Store media is usually judged differently from search, and mixing the two yardsticks produces confusing reports.
Measurement is a shared task across channels. We compare sales and item-level performance with campaign exposure, and where clean room access is available we use it carefully. For brands selling through several retailers, our multi-retailer media management service applies the same reporting rules to Walmart, Amazon, Instacart and others, which keeps the comparison honest and the discussion about budget short.
Illustrative example: a sponsored search structure
This is an example, not a client result. A snack brand starts with sponsored search on Walmart.com. Campaigns are split by purpose: one for branded terms to defend its own products, one for category terms to win new shoppers, and one for competitor terms with a lower budget cap.
Within each, keywords are grouped by match type and reviewed against item health: stock, price and content quality. If an item is out of stock or has weak content, its bids are lowered before budget is wasted. Display and other formats are added once search is stable.
What you get at the start
The first phase checks the foundation before spending. You receive:
• An item-health review covering availability, content, pricing and ratings for the products to be advertised.
• A campaign structure and keyword plan, with budgets by goal.
• A plan for sequencing search, display and, where relevant, in-store and measurement products.
• A reporting template tied to item-level sales.
Checklist: ready to advertise on Walmart Connect?
Confirm that: items are live and in stock; content and images are complete; prices are competitive; you have access to the right advertiser account; and you know which goal comes first (defend, grow or launch).
Product availability and features change, so we check what is open to your account at the start of each engagement.

FAQ
Which Walmart Connect products do you manage?
We manage sponsored search, onsite and offsite display, Walmart DSP campaigns and help plan in-store media. Available formats and eligibility depend on your account and on current Walmart Connect rules, so we confirm what applies to you during the audit.
Can you work as a white-label team for our agency?
Yes. Agencies use us to run Walmart Connect for clients under the agency name. We provide trafficking, optimization and reporting in your templates, and we communicate through your team so client relationships stay with you. You can start with one client or one channel and expand once you are happy with the work.
Do you manage the item catalog and content too?
We review item content, availability and pricing signals that affect advertising performance and flag problems to your team. Editing the catalog is usually done by your own team or marketplace partner, though we can advise on priorities and flag the items that most affect your ad results.
How does Walmart Connect fit with our Amazon activity?
We plan both with shared goals and consistent reporting, while respecting that each retailer works differently. That lets you see where budget performs best, without forcing the networks into one identical structure. Each retailer keeps the settings that suit it, and the shared report keeps the comparison simple.
What do we need to start?
We need access to your Walmart Connect account or agency seat, your goals and current reports. After an audit we propose a scope and plan, and we agree reporting before any budget is changed. You stay in control of spend and access throughout.
How is Walmart Connect management priced?
Retail media management is generally priced as a monthly retainer, a percentage of ad spend or a project fee. We propose the model that fits your scope, such as the number of products, campaign types and level of reporting, and agree it in writing. Media spend is paid to Walmart Connect through your account. You can start with one channel or one client before expanding.
